Preferred Habitat:-
Mainly unpopulated areas in mallee woodlands, Murray River wetlands avoids
densely populated areas and rubbish dumps.
Distribution:- Juvenile form first recorded in the Dandenongs in 1954, since migration to the Riverland in 1973, mostly seen on riverfront and mallee scrub properties, Riverland SA, although intermittently sighted in Top End wetlands and Tasmania.
Cultivation & Uses:- A useful garden species for creating great works of art. Very hard to live with and cultivation can be difficult but given the right conditions will flourish. |
