Description/ Size/ Identification:- Head & body not including tail 180cm. Overall length including
(tall) tale, 180cm - 210cm, depending on weather conditions. Curly brown eyebrows with grizzled grey brown on head and palms. Eye colour blue although adverse dietary beverages can cause the whites of the eyes to take on a red hue.

Behaviour:- (generally bad) Spends most waking hours painting or doing works of art. Often seen planting native trees. Has an intense dislike of feral plant and animal pests and regularly goes on eradication forays. This artist is noisy and conspicuous when disturbed by environmental issues. Regularly seen standing on riverbank shaking fists and shouting abuse at jet skiers. Often plummets from the sky in an attempt to fly, but always relies on a parachute to land safely.

Preferred Habitat:- Mainly unpopulated areas in mallee woodlands, Murray River wetlands avoids densely populated areas and rubbish dumps.

Distribution:- Juvenile form first recorded in the Dandenongs in 1954, since migration to the Riverland in 1973, mostly seen on riverfront and mallee scrub properties, Riverland SA, although intermittently sighted in Top End wetlands and Tasmania.

Cultivation & Uses:- A useful garden species for creating great works of art. Very hard to live with and cultivation can be difficult but given the right conditions will flourish.
